WHAT IS ARTT?

ARTT is a Romanian organization for global cooperation and coordination for telework and teleactivities and its technologies and applications.

WHO ARE ITS MEMBERS?

Its members reflect the breadth of the entire Internet community and consist of individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.

WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?

Its principal purpose is to maintain and extend the development and availability of the telework and teleactivities and its associated technologies and applications - both as an end in itself, and as a means of enabling organizations, professions, and individuals worldwide to more effectively collaborate, cooperate, and innovate in their respective fields and interests.

Its specific goals and purposes include:

• development, maintenance, evolution, and dissemination of standards for the telework and teleactivities and its related technologies and applications;

• maintenance and evolution of effective administrative processes necessary for operation for telework and teleactivities;

• education and research related to the telework and teleactivities;

• harmonization of actions and activities at national and international levels to facilitate the development and availability of the telework and teleactivities;

• collection and dissemination of information related to the telework and teleactivities, including histories and archives;

• assisting technologically developing countries, areas, and peoples in implementing and evolving their telework and teleactivities and use;

• liaison with other organizations, governments, and the general public for coordination, collaboration, and education in effecting the above purposes.

HOW DOES IT OPERATE?

ARTT operates through its districtual Board of Directories, the President, its General Conferences and Network Training Workshops, its regional and local branches, its various standards and administrative bodies, its committees, and its volunteers. The Board of Directories is headed by a Chair, and consists of 3 eminent individuals drawn from every region of Romania - some of whom were instrumental in creating and evolving different components of the telework and teleactivities. The Secretariat is managed by a President/CEO, with the assistance of several officers.

WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

The permanent national headquarters and secretariat of the ARTT is located at Drobeta Turnu Severin, Mehedinti, Romania.

WHAT IS ITS LEGAL STATUS?

ARTT is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, with tax-deductible status.

WHY WAS IT CREATED?

ARTT was announced in January, 2003 and brought into existence in March, 2003. His founder  who recognized that the Organization was a critical component necessary to evolve and develop the telework and teleactivities and Internet technologies and applications in Romania, and to enhance their availability and use on the widest possible scale.
